remember this picture from last christmas:

we got to recreate it one year later at thanksgiving! (koby, marea, margot and kaya)

margot had so much fun playing with her cousins. even though she only gets

to see them once a year, she seems to have developed a special language with

them. they had so much fun setting up a store in the playhouse for margot and 

even delegating duties!

usually we only get to see them once a year during the holidays, but this 

year we got a treat and saw them not only 2x in one year, but two weekends

in a row! they came all they way up from encinitas to celebrate margot's

second birthday.

encinitas

last weekend, we were supposed to stay in encinitas with
martin's sister, kristine, for 4 days to visit and see the festival
of sails. unfortunately, my dad has a tendency for drama
and called us back after 1 night.

so it was too short, but we did get to stay at the chateau hughes
where we had our own room, bathroom, and crib for margot!
the toilet paper was even folded into a point! we are SO going
back one of these days.

also built into the stay at the chateau hughes is 3 playmates,
kaya, koby and marea (aka may-may).

cousins

here's koby hiding behind the couch. he got to high five the entire
starting line up of the lakers. he told kobe that his name was koby too.
i asked if he responded and he said, "no but he DID hear me". ok…

we went to the beach our first night there. it was already past margot's
bedtime and i was a little worried she'd flip out, but she very much enjoyed
herself and so did her cousins kaya and marea. kaya's showing us
something. i'm no marine biologist so i have NO IDEA what she's holding.
